LaMar Black joined our employer development team in June and has jumped right in. He has already traveled to Houston to develop relationships with companies and is planning our 2nd annual Employer Relations Summit in August. I’m so glad he is on our team.

Stephanie Rettig has done an amazing job meeting the students where they are. She has created a mobile career services with a large pop-up tent and her team has set up shop on various locations around campus. They have provided resume development, given out career services information and event flyers, provided refreshments during finals week, and continue to find ways to connect with students where they are to meet all career needs. She has actively collaborated with student services and academic departments across campus to provide tailored services for all students and partner on fun events for students to ensure they know career services is here to help! Her energy and enthusiasm, along with her dynamic leadership skills have allowed career services to be a part of student’s academic path from beginning to end. Faculty, Staff, Administrators, and Students have all shared that they were unaware of career services and it’s location, but now they are excited about what the team is doing!

While serving as the San Antonio Colleges & Universities Career Centers Associations’ president she was also responsible for leading planning for Trinity’s fall and spring career fairs last year as well as leading the Center’s transition from one CSM platform to another this summer – the latter two with the invaluable support of the Center team.
